Richard H. Kane and Frank E. Illman were both independent Saloon operators in Glasgow, Montana who were put out of business by the arrival of Prohibition in 1920. They soon got together to open a Soft Drink Parlor, which they operated from the 1920's on into the 1930's. You can find Business Directory listings for their Soft Drink venture, for example, in the 1924 Montana R. G. Dun and the 1927 and 1931 Montana Bradstreets.
