There are many "St. James" establishments that had tokens, but this one comes from the St. James Hotel in Butte, Montana. Henry Jefferson was the Proprietor of the St. James Hotel form about 1894 to 1913. A copy of the listing for Mr. Jefferson and the St. James Hotel from the 1894 R. L. Polk Gazetteer is provided below. This listing tells us that the St. James was located on Arizona opposite the Northern Pacific Railroad Depot.
