Eugene Mallette was a lifelong Shelby businessman. In the teens he ran a Saloon. From the late teens on into the 1930's he ran a Hotel & Garage and in the late 1930's & 1940's his listings shifted to Cigars, Beverages & Restaurant. All of these businesses could have used a cigar token, but I suspect the token came from his Cigars, Beverages & Restaurant days.
