This token is listed in the Montana Token Book and was
issued by Thomas Dixon's Brewery Saloon of Townsend, Montana. Thomas Dixon and the Brewery Saloon are very well known. The Saloon and Brewery were located four miles South East of Town and were a local fixture from Territorial 1880's days to the arrival of Prohibition in Montana in 1919.

Dixon and his Saloon can be found in just about every Montana Business Directory for about 35 years starting with the 1886 Bradstreet.
