ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

The G. W. Cole Co. was incorporated on June 4, 1924. It had Drug Stores in Bearcreek and Red Lodge, Montana and was eventually taken over by The Gardner Drug Co. For the Beacreek Store see the 1930-1931-1932 Montana R. G. Dun Gazetteers and for the Red Lodge, Montana Store see the 1932 R. G. Dun.

The fact that this token has just Montana on it and not the name of any city means that it could have been used at several locations. Cole may have had operations at more towns than Bearcreek and Red Lodge, but I have not been able to find them.

There are a few G. W. Cole tokens listed for BearCreek in the Montana Token Book....one listing is a maverick and one has the city and state on it. No token is listed with just the state name on it.

Also, the token is not listed at all for Red Lodge.
