This token was issued by Juno Z. Clem. In the 1900 R. L. Polk Montana Gazetteer Clem is listed as a Barber in Sheridan. Thereafter he lived in Virginia City and was a Government Worker, and also ran a few businesses. His Virginia City Business Directory Listings are for a Confectionery Store and a Confectionery, Stationery and Cigar Store. See, for example, the 1914 Montana Bradstreet and the 1916 MN-DAKS-MT Gazetteer.

The Montana Token Book lists this token as "most likely" coming from Sheridan, but since it is a maverick CLEM probably used where ever he could....i.e both Sheridan and Virginia City.
