Super rare token. ...I would rate it as an 11 on a 1 to 12 scale. This token is not listed in the Montana Token Book and is the only token, to my knowledge, ever reported from Lonepine, Montana.

Lonepine is located in eastern Sanders County about 30 miles north east of Plains. In the late 1930's it had a listed population of 5 (five) people. The only local operating business in the 1920's-30's and 40's was a General Store Run by F. A. Halverson. This token was issued by a Fishing Club active in the area...The Lonepine Fishing Club (which was the successor to the "Little Bitterroot Club").

Today, Lonepine is not a town but is what is called a Census Designated area. The CDA covers almost 14 square miles and has a population of about 140 people.

This token has also been attributed to Lone Pine, California and Middleport, PA.
