Frank Bliss was a long time Saloon Proprietor in both Big Timber and Livingston, Montana. Frank Bliss started out in Big Timber in the mid 1880's and stayed there until about 1900. You can find Big Timber Business Directory listings for Bliss in the 1886 Territorial Bradstreet and the 1900 R. L. Polk Montana Gazetteer. And, the token is listed for Big Timber in the Montana Token Book. After leaving Big Timber, Frank Bliss opened a Saloon at 117 W. Park in Livingston, Montana. ...in about 1906. the saloon was called The Solo. Frank Bliss is listed in Livingston in the 1906 MN-DAKS-MT Polk Gazetteer and other Business Directories all the way up to the arrival of Prohibition in Montana in 1919. For a later listing see the Livingston Section of the 1919 R. G. Dun. This token could have been used in Big Timber (after the early 1890's), or in Livingston, or in both Livingston and Big Timber.
