William I. Penny and Waltmon Tate ran a Pool Hall in Livingston in the late teens. See Business Directory listings for them, for example, in the 1916 MN-DAKS-MT Polk Gazetteer and the 1918 Montana Bradstreet.

After the above partnership dissolved, Penny went on to partner with Rogers and Penny & Rogers are listed in the 1924 R. G. Dun and 1927 Montana Bradstreet.
