Mandaville Phillips and William H. Rance were Saloon Proprietors in Great Falls starting in the 1890's. See, for example, their Business Directory listings in the 1894 R. L. Polk Montana Gazetteer and the 1916 R. L. Polk MN-DAKS-MT Gazetteer.

Listings for the Phillips & Rance Silver Dollar continued right up to Prohibition in 1920, although in the late teens the listing was identified as a trade name. That, of course, indicates that the Saloon had been sold to new owners.

Note that on this token, Phillips name is spelled with two l's.... on others it is spelled with one l.
