H. A. Ashcraft was a Mocasin, Montana businessman....for over forty years. His first Business Directory listing was in the early teens....as a Saloon Proprietor. See, for example, the 1912 Montana R. G. Dun. His Saloon listing continued to 1919 when Prohibition arrived in Montana. At that time, his listing shifted to Billiards and Beverages(soft drinks). See the Montana Section of the 1920 Bradstreet. After Prohibition ended in 1933, Ashcroft opened a Tavern...and his Tavern listing was still there in the 1947 Dun & Bradstreet.
